We are pleased to learn that the most iconic regatta of Saint-Tropez is back. This year, Les Voiles returns in a new format over 2 weeks. An opportunity to admire again and longer the fleet of the most beautiful classic and modern sailboats.
The event is confirmed. The organizers have adapted the event to the difficulties of the current situation. Measures are took to ensure the protection of participants and the public.

Program 2020

Week 1:

The Voiles de Saint-Tropez Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September: registration for boats up to 20 meters (except for certain classes)

Monday 28th September: racing for modern yachts

Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th September, Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd October: racing for modern yachts and classic yachts

Thursday 1st October: Challenge Day Saturday 3rd October: prize giving

Week 2: The Voiles Super Boats

Sunday 4th and Monday 5th October: big boat registration (Wally, IRCA, Maxi yachts, big Classic, big Schooner)

Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th , Thursday 8 th , Friday 9 th: big boat racing

Friday 9th October: prize giving (week 2)

Measures put in place by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez:

Reduction of village size to 400 m2 (instead of the usual 1 500 m2), 400 people maximum.

Exhibitors limited to partner areas, no bar, no boutique inside the Village. Direct access to the official North Sails store.

Wearing of mask, taking of temperature at the entrance to the Village, hydroalcoholic gel: compulsory.

Presence of Cerballiance laboratory for testing of people wishing to do so.

Entertainment: The traditional boules competitions, crew parade, crew party and sardinade cannot take place this year.

Drought Alert in the Var

The Var department has been placed in drought alert, we invite yachtsmen to be responsible and limit their daily water consumption.

On the boat :

Be careful with your water consumption and limit secondary uses.

Use an automatic shut-off gun/close the tap during cleaning.

Preferably use a watermaker.

Use the sanitary facilities at the harbour master’s office.

On your daily basis:

Take a shower rather than a bath.

Install a double flush toilet.

Install flow reducers or foamers on taps.

Use rinsing water for fruit and vegetables to water plants.

Using class A washing machines and dishwashers, making sure they are full.

Use of plant-based and eco-labelled hygiene and cleaning products.


A 15m3 domestic waste bin will be insalled on the Bassin Jean Lescudier around the maritime shuttle pier.

This bin is for yachtsmen, whose boats are inside or outside the port, to dispose of their domestic waste. The can also proceed with their usual recycling process at this collecting point or at the waste disposal point withing the technical zone for their toxic waste.

Voiles Latines 2020 Cancelled

The current COVID-19 outbreak does not allow us to have a clear view of the situation in the coming months. Therefore, as a precautionary measure but also to protect the participants, workers and the public who come to this event, the Voiles Latines 2020 is cancelled.

Access to the beaches of Saint-Tropez will be possible starting May 19th from 10am to 6pm under the strict hygiene and social distancing measures mentioned in the previous decree.

The new decree 062/2020 is applicable from May 11th to June 1st.
Stopover into a port and anchoring are limited to a maximum distance of 54NM along the coast from their home port for vessels sailing under the French or foreign flag.
Entering french waters is prohibited for foreign boats coming from an international port ( except within the Schengen Area or if they transit – see if eligible)

New measures had been announced concerning the navigation in the French internal and territorial waters of the Mediterranean sea . Only certain categories of vessel, subject to the conditions displayed in the decree N°054/2020, are allowed to navigate. An attestation must be submitted in advance to the maritime authorities.

The maritime prefecture of the channel and the mediterranean sea has published a press release on March 17th about the new instructions against the covid 19 outbreak. All nautical activities are prohibited in the Mediterranean Sea until March 31st 2020.

Arrêté du Maire N°501/2020 of March 18th 2020: 

Article 1: In order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, bathing and access to all beaches and coastal sites on the territory of the municipality shall be prohibited as from today and until the repeal of this Order.

  • Prize giving (on invitation) followed by a bruch for crews with music at the Citadelle
